  1. I only wear black shirts

Natural deodorants usually worked for me to control smell, but sweating, whoa! Now, I know sweating is natural, but on any given stressful day sitting at my desk, I can get sweat marks past my bra-straps and through a blazer (I cannot buy expensive suits because of that as I must get rid of them after a year or two). I have tried wearing different fabrics on my skin. Because cotton takes long to dry, I get skin irritation from the wetness, and synthetics usually trigger more sweating and bigger sweat marks.

What does a green-aspiring gal do when the only effective sweat inhibiting stuff on the market is laced with nasty chemicals?

    Thanks!

    • Have you tried dress shields? They’re available at Fabricland (and other fabric stores), near the bra making supplies. They look like thinner, upside down shoulder pads, and they’re meant to be tacked to the inside underarm of shirts and blazers. They would definitely save your blazers – you can remove them, wash them out, then sew them back in again. If you’re not keen on sewing, there are disposable stick on shields available online.

Also, check with your doctor to make sure there’s not underlying condition prompting the sweating. If not,she may be ble to recommend a more permanent treatment, such as injections.

      Good luck!
